How does Probio Digest work?
The multiple different strains of bacteria in the Probio Digest are usually found in different parts of the digestive system and perform a range of functions that help strengthen immunity, aid improved digestion, and support mood & skin health. Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, two of the most common species of microorganisms, produce lactic acid but are located in different areas. While Lactobacilli assists in improved urogenital health & protecting the gut lining from harmful foreign bodies, Bifidobacteria produces acetic acid along with lactic acid to help make the gut uninhabitable for bad bacteria.
- Lactobacilli (L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. casei, L. salivarius, L. plantarum): Aids production of lactic acid in the small intestine, supports urogenital & vaginal health and helps promote strengthened gut lining. Certain strains also assist the immune system.
- Bifidobacteria (B. breve, B. longum, B. bifidum): Assists in making the gut unwelcoming to unwanted materials.
- Streptococcus thermophilus: Produces lactic acid in the colon and helps create a barrier against unwanted, harmful foreign particles
- Fructooligosaccharides: A soluble fiber and prebiotic; it aids in nurturing beneficial microorganisms in the intestinal tract.
